Every diagnostic trouble code consists of 3 digits.
Example: Code 132
Digit 1 is shown with one flash. Then there is a break, and then digit 3 is shown with three flashes, than another break and the digit 2 is shown with two flashes.
Three different diagnostic trouble codes can be stored in the memory at the same time. Only one code at a time is shown upon request. (Therefore, it may be suitable to request several times so that you do not miss anything).
If several codes are stored, they will be shown "rolling", e.g.:
diagnostic trouble codes; code 1, code 2, code 3, code 1, code 2.............................
diagnostic trouble codes; code 1, code 2, code 1, code 2.............................
diagnostic trouble code; code 1, code 1, code 1,................................................
Reset of all diagnostic trouble codes takes place when the ignition is turned off. If no problem is detected, the code shows "trouble-free" (111).
