Hi,
Just upgraded my volvo S60 2002 model for a S60 II 2011 model and really happy with it. Couple of issues, one its that service engine light comes on from time to time and need reset. Went to Bilia and they suggested software upgrade/update but the cost its 300 euro. does anybody know a cheaper solution or could i do it my self?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, make essential service to you car, cost is arround 160€ say it must be service 2.0 and they will update all softwares that are in normal software update circle...
essential is oil change + some other minor things... on bilia, or any other volvo service.
of cource if that update is outside normal software updates then thios ot help you and cost is that 300€ there is no legal way to get these any cheaper than this...

Essential service has been done 4000 km ago, apparently the car haven't been to Volvo authorized service before. The mecanic mentioned something about con2 software upgrade which would reinstall the whole software , its that the same as service 2.0?
Thanks!

Sorry i dont know that, but usually these essential services are service 2.0 and updates should come with those services... that con2 might be standalone update outside normal updates... if you have recipe from last essential you can see if there is mention about updates.
